As my sister, Kay, says, I really like Charles Price as an historian. He combines familiarity of terrain with a love of place, and knowledge of historical events with wisdom about human nature. I am looking forward to reading the new book, but I don't know whether to purchase it myself or wait on a family member to give it as a gift.
