Here are some of them, beginning with my first view of the Rockies.

I've always loved looking at cloud landscapes from a window seat. Several of these cloud terrains were especially seductive.

I like to imagine stepping out into an endless landscape of clouds.

And then through the clouds I could see Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams, as we approached Portland.

As we descended into Portland, I snapped a few final photos.

The river is the mighty Columbia!

This one I captured seconds before landing.

I love flying as long as I can have a window seat. But I never tried taking pictures -- these are amazing, especially those lase one of the mountain --Mt. Hood? I mean, breathtaking!
Kay, I am not a good flyer either, but I always want a window seat. I've taken photos from the plane and clouds fascinate me. These are especially interesting and the mountain poking up through them makes for a great shot, I think.
We had planned to cruise the Columbia and Snake rivers this fall. Maybe later.
those pics are fantastic! can i use one for http://lookupguys.wordpress.com ?
i have developed motion sickness as an adult so now i have to sit on the aisle whenever possible :(
Ooooh - what wonderful pictures!!!
i hate to fly.
Maybe 'cause I remember when I worked for the airlines (back in the day . . . ) and flying was so much more fun than it is now.
A party in the sky.
